Well, I'm about to retire my short-lived "career" in Eve Online.  I'm doing this mostly because the game is starting to feel like an unending grind rather than fun.  If its just another job, no point in playing am I right?

So I was wondering what ppl would suggest as a fun game that they play now or plan on playing in the short future.  (games such as Starcraft 2 do not count).

I was going to buy the new Conan MMO but I really do not know anyone playing it so it will get lonely.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Got to give it a bit of time Tim.  A couple of good single player games to try:  Bioshock, Oblivion.  Also Sins of the Solar Empire for an RTS and Hellgate: London.

Yes, its PC only because I can't afford a new system both $$$ and parent-King alliance Political wise.

I've thought about returning to Wow......trust me.....

I really enjoyed Mass Effect, if you're talking about games in general. Something interesting is brewing on the Star Trek Online front. I'm just going to wait for that.

I heard that Lord Of The Rings Online was the best MMO. Steve from the Gaming Steve Podcast said the gamers there are mature and the game play is great. Mind you, he owns company that designs games and he has friends who design dungeons for WOW, so I would think his endorsement of LOTR Online means something.

Hmm, really?  I tried to play LOTR MMO, but there was a sound issue and I wasn't really interested in fixing it and just kinda gave up.  However, I was playing Wow pretty actively so that doesn't help that much.  ;).  Playing two MMOs is an insanity that no one should do.  *shudder*.

Since you like RPGs maybe you should give Oblivion a try. I know my computer can't run it (I've played it on the 360) and if yours can't either, then try the previous installment, Morrowind. Nearly everyone likes that game.

I've not heard good things about Conan, a clan buddy of mine just dropped it and went back to WoW.

If you are looking for a long term thing then Sins of a solar Empire might be an option, good reviews. I do ahve a copy, just haven't got into it yet.

I'm tending to hit Civ 4 at the moment with my clan buddies and we are waiting for Civ Colonization in the fall 2008. If you want to look at a new MMO then the Warhammer Age of Reckoning looks cool, but again you won't see that for a few months yet.
If you can remain calm when all around you are panicking, you probably didn't understand the question

I have been so addicted to WoW of late it is hard to think about picking up any other game.  But tomorrow I am leaving for a family vacation to Vermont for six days, so today I am going out to pick up Civilization Revolution for the Nintendo DS.  I haven't picked up my DS in so long I hope it still works, but Civ for the DS has gotten some very favorable reviews so I am looking forward to giving it a whirl during our long drive while my wife is at the wheel.
