Check out this link for some pictures of some babes in comic costumes from the recent NY Comic Con.

Oh yeah agreed, i thought one was a bloke at first ha ha

More often than not these images include more than there fair share of folks dressing up in costumes which scream "I live in a world with no friends and no mirrors!" These aren't too bad.

Nice to see CosPlay getting a stronger hold here in America, though I must agree that a few of them should have stayed home.  Or go to a Gym first, at least...

I think some of these costumes were really nice and well done. I like the Lara Croft costume and the superheros. While I'm sure some of you guys don't mind the scantily clad pics...  I have to say, as a woman who can probably wear most of those costumes well, I believe that many of the more scantily clad women dress like tramps, not because they are fans of any geeky genres, but because it gives them an excuse to wear next to nothing in public and have men ogle them.  They probably can't get attention any other way than to invade a geeky con. Too bad for them.

Sorry, had to say it. Carry on.

You make a very valid and I'm sure pretty accurate point Jen.  In general most people who wear certain clothing that is out of the "norm" tend to want to get noticed.  This can be true for both women and men.  I tend to think this is due to some of our very basic instincts.  There are many examples in nature - and obviously also at SF cons.  ;)

Agreed. I know there aren't a lot of female characters in Star Wars, but is the only option *really* slave Leia? Then again I think it would take a ton of guts to walk around in a metal bikini. Then again, I'm not a woman, I don't even like wearing shirts that are too fitted.

Rico

Did someone say Slave Leia?  Here's Olivia Munn of G4 doing the metal bikini thing....

Drool...cancel previous comments.

Just joking...but that is hot.

And I still hate Attack of the Show.
