Cool pic over at StarWars.com shows a concept drawing of a Y-Wing as it will appear in the Clone Wars animated series. It keeps with the concept that the Y-Wings we saw in the original trilogy were fighters stripped of their exterior body panels for ease of repair for the rebel engineers. Now we get to see what one looks like fresh from the shipyards. I always loved the Y's.

Neat!  I liked how they created this whole set of earlier versions of the ships we know when they did the prequel stuff.

That's awesome.  The Y-Wing has always been my favorite OT design.

That is cool picture, just like Dan, a favorite of mine as well. Thanks for posting

I like this, it makes a lot of sense. Also a cool way to make an old design look new despite the fact that the series is chronologically before A New Hope.

Hmm.  I liked the Y-Wing, but I like the X-Wing even more.  Star Wars games you'll be hard pressed to see me fly anything but an X-Wing.  But I'll fly the Y-Wing if X-Wing is not possible.

Anyway...bit off topic.  Thats a pretty cool design.  Hopefully this SW series comes out well.
