Just got this week's cast up.  All about classic Sci-Fi films of the 1950's, mainly.  I think you all will enjoy this "retro" podcast.   :metallica:

Great Show!

I thought I was the only fan that owned a copy of The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra! A movie that's safe from MST3K.

And if you liked that you may want to see BUBBA HO-TEP, starring Bruce Campbell as Elvis and Ossie Davis as JFK.

For low budget modern camp try: NAKED SPACE with Leslie Nielsen,Cindy Williams and Patrick Macnee.

Ultra low budget is: Hick Trek the Moovie. It's Wayne's World meets Star trek in South Carolina.

One more movie to add to your list of vintage Sci_Fi: Quatermass and the Pit. Released in the US as Five Million Years to Earth - awesome movie.

Keep watching the skies!

Oh "Bubba Ho-Tep" is great.  I think they are going to make a sequel.

oh my gosh...I've never heard anyone mention "Lost Skeleton of Cadavra".  One of my best friends from High School was production assistant on the film.  I've seen his credits on IMDB and saw this listed, but I always thought this was just a real small movie that wasn't really out there in the public awareness.

Really enjoyed the podcast. I love Plan 9 and some of the old classic 50's sci fi stuff is brilliant. Invaders from Mars scared the hell out of me when i was young, and to be fair still does a little bit. The whole idea of the saucer landing just by your home and you father coming back totally different really bothered me. Strangely with that film a different ending was filmed for the British release, eliminating the dream concept. This release also included an extended scene of the planetarium scene. This scene was filmed a few months after the original release, and it is noticeable that the young boy has gained some height and weight.

Interesting stuff - wonder why they made the alternate version?
I agree that movie always gives me the creeps

Nathan and I used the new podcasting equipment for this one.  We actually popped microwave popcorn and ran the mic into the kitchen for this one.  Pretty fun.  We laughed pretty hard while trying to do the old guys voice.  Wrinkley?
