PC version but a great deal.  I think I'll pick it up finally.  I know it's not the greatest Trek game, but for $10 bucks I'll give it a whirl.

I've heard some pretty bad reviews on this game but would be willing to give it a go. On Amazon UK they are selling it on the Xbox 360 for £6.50 used. Not sure if to buy it or not.

Sweet, 9 bucks huh?  Think I'll pick it up too when my computer gets repaired.

I quite like the game, although it feels a bit weird at first. Some of the levels are a real pain when you first do them. :)

But the mods and add ons for this game are amazing

My latest Star Trek game has been Encounters, the most recent PS2 game that was released by Bethesda a couple years ago.  I picked it up used recently for less than ten dollars.  It runs well on my 80g PS3, but the game leaves a bit to be desired.  The controls take alot of getting used to, and the ships are so small its kind of like playing micromachines Star Trek.  There are some absolutely terrible game mechanics in story mode, specifically where you have to use ships scanners to follow hidden warp signatures, and if you misjudge the timing and go off course even slightly you fail the whole level and have to start all over.  It's maddeningly difficult.  I've been stuck in a certain spot for a while and had to give up on the game for a while.  There's alot appealing about it too, though, especially the sound effects and the ship to ship combat is pretty satisfying.  I haven't played the skirmish mode and maybe thats more fun than the adventure.  I'm sure I will go back to this game soon and I hope things get better.

Is there any, or will there be a decent star Trek game?

I've been told the 360 version of Legacy is much better then the PC version.

There have been many good Star Trek games, especially on PC.  Not much has been good on the consoles, at least for many years.  The old Starfleet Academy game for Super Nintendo was great fun.  Invasion was good for the original PS.  I heard Bridge Commander for PC was good, never played it.  The TNG game for PC was great fun, as was the Super Nintendo TNG game, I forget their names.  I liked the FPS Voyager game on original Xbox.  Star Trek: Borg for PC, recently featured on a Vartok segment on the podcast, was great fun.  The Klingon FPS where you run around with a batleth was fun.  And the classic 25th anniversary TOS games are the best.

Ya can't beat $9...what a steal....But, If you buy this game, you MUST mod it with the Ultimate Universe mod!!!!  The game royally sux out of the box, it's said, but Awesome with that mod.  Try www.ultimateuniversemod.net/ (there's videos of the gameplay)and www.hailingfrequency.co.uk/ for info on the mod.  Also, a friend of mine is working on an original Trek rts  game, which I will be helping him program: www.startreksupremacy.com/
