I loved the first movie.. so I bought the second movie direct to DVD (before seeing it) and was so disappointed because it was nothing like the first.. now there is a third one and it looks like the first.. I'm pretty excited about this one.

Starship Troopers 3: Marauder Coming Straight to DVD

"Starship Troopers 3: Marauder" official DVD movie poster.

The sci-fi feature brings back Casper Van Dien to the franchise and co-stars "Star Trek: Enterprise" alum Jolene Blalock as the hard-as-nails Captain Lola Beck. Look for it sometime this year on DVD.

I'm kind of surprised that they went for a comical approach to the trailer. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not. I'll probably rent it to see Jolene if for no other reason but it doesn't strike me as something I would invest much more than the cost of a rental in.

I'm sure I'll check it out.  Never did see the second one.

Loved the first one but haven't seen the second film. Mind you i am a big fan of Dina Meyer so that may have something to do with it.

As am I.  I really enjoyed her..ahem...performance.

The original Starship Troopers is doomed once you realize that 99% of the cast gets naked, except Denise Richards!!

Seriously, I enjoyed the first movie but haven't seen the second.  Is it worth 2 hours of my life?

The second one is not worth it.. at least in my opinion. I found it very boring. You can tell there was no budget since the entire thing takes place at one facility on one planet. Also the bug aliens were able to mimic as human so no special effects.. it was a disappointment.

Darth Gaos

Didn't even realize there was a second movie...wow.  I loved the first movie though.

Check it out, y'all-

It looks like the tone of this film will be closer to that of the first one-- sort of a dark parody of fascistic militarism.  I think I'm checking it out.

Already posted about this.. going to merge the threads.

Thanks; I guess I missed the first thread.   :blush

I liked the first movie.  The second movie was given to me and I still want my money back!  I'd like to see the third installment, but I don't think I'm buying it.  Maybe my brother will buy it for me.
