I know "Once" is supposed to be fantastic, and probably it is, but the music just sounds like an overly repetitive Radiohead wannabe - and I cannot STAND Radiohead; they are one of the most overrated bands around, IMHO.

I'm also not a fan of Cormac McCarthy - which is an understatement that I won't elucidate on. I would see "NCFOM" because I like the Coens, but it would have to be damn good to bring me around.

I was glad to see "Juno", "Bourne Ultimatum", "Sweeney Todd", and "Ratatouille" take home some statues. Jon Stewart was fun as the host. I was thinking it would be pretty cool if he brought the woman from "Once" out to give her speech, but I didn't think he would - then when the show came back after the commercial he brought her out to speak. Very nice moment.

Honestly, I was not impressed with any of the songs from Enchanted, but they may work better in the film. I'd like to see "La Vie En Rose" - the makeup for that was amazing.

Because of the baby we didn't see any of the Oscar noms this year except for "Transformers" and "Ratatouille", both of which came out long before the baby did. Even so, it was pretty easy to predict Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Animated, and Best Adapted Screenplay - and I think that's sad.
Admiral Piett: Impossible! Are calcs proves us otherwise.
" Blalock's 'Shadow Puppets' To Get California Release" <-- Best headline ever on this site.
