A few other props sites are speculating that a new company called eFX Collectibles might have the "Star Wars" license now to make props and replicas in 2008 and beyond.  Check this page out:

Here's what the Rebel Scum web site has to say...

The Star Wars prop community has been abuzz these past few days since seeing a teaser ad for a new Star Wars Licensee called "eFX".

Being the Bothan Spies we all wish we were, many of you went to work trying to figure it all out. Searching all of the internets with the Google, it wasn't long before you had it all figured out. So here's the scoop from one fan of TheForce.net :

".....being a computer geek myself, I decided to research this matter using one of my favorite investigatory tools: a WHOIS lookup. What that basically means is, I go to a WHOIS lookup website, I type in the URL, and I get a plethora of information about the website and its owner. Since I didn't know the URL of the website belonging to this "EFX," I thought I would try some generic URLs with "EFX" in them. I tried http://www.efxstarwars.com, http://www.efxreplicas.com, and http://www.efxprops.com. All three of these sites gave me pages that said This Domain is Reserved - Web Site is Coming Soon. Intrigued, I looked up their WHOIS registry information. Turns out that all three sites are owned by ToyTeq, and the registrant information lists Bryan Ono as the administrative contact. Who is Bryan Ono, you might ask? Well for one thing, he was a top dog at Master Replicas' Star Wars line. Coincidence? I think not."

Another thing to consider is that the tease ad stated "Coming 7-23-08". Which many have pointed out is preview night at San Diego comic Con!

Then there's this website http://www.efxcollectibles.com

I don't know about you but I'm so glad that someone stepped up to the plate for the prop community. So, by the looks of it we'll have the same people who were working on the Star Wars Master Replicas team, now working on the same license but now under a new name. Congrats to eFX, we'll be checking you out at SDCC 2008 for sure!

With the animated series and live action show planned, I would hope someone would! Star Wars is far from dead, as is Star Trek. Geek World lives on my brothers!!!!!

More Details on the new efx company, Sounds like they are picking up where MR left off. Looks like Hasbro has the Force FX line as well

Lucas Licensing Teams With Hasbro and eFX to Bring High-End Star Wars Collectibles to Fans. New Agreements Begin This Month for Collectible Prop Replicas, Vehicles and Popular Electronic Lightsabers

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Star Wars fans and collectors will find new lines of collectibles from Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE:HAS) and newcomer eFX in 2008, it was announced today by Lucas Licensing, a division of Lucasfilm Ltd.

Hasbro, Lucas Licensing's master Star Wars toy and game licensee, will assume the design and production of the high-end, collectible electronic lightsabers line, called "Force FX" Lightsabers, which was previously made by Master Replicas.

Hasbro's Force FX lightsaber line will debut in the spring and continues the remarkable popularity of electronic replica lightsabers among Star Wars enthusiasts. The line will feature replicas of the iconic weapons used by Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul and Yoda.

Newly formed eFX will develop, manufacture and distribute collectible, limited-edition replicas of both full-sized and scaled props; studio- and reduced-scale vehicles and ships; full-sized helmets; and high-end, die-cast vehicles and ships that encompass the entire Star Wars universe.

"Working with both Hasbro and eFX allows us to bring Star Wars fans some of the best collectibles we have ever offered," said Howard Roffman, President of Lucas Licensing. "These are incredibly creative, innovative companies with a real passion for Star Wars, and we think it's going to show in the products they offer."

Hasbro expects the first Force FX lightsabers to be available in the spring, while eFX plans to unveil its first products at Comic Con International in San Diego in July.

WOW!  That's some pretty good news.  Except for my wallet!   ;)

jedijeff

Yes, pretty good news indeed, efx updated their website a bit, with what types of things they will be producing. At least this gives our wallets a break for half a year at least, so they can focus on Trek and BSG ;)
