I saw the preview and I think it looks cool. A ninety minute escpae from reality with aliens kickin the crap of each other. I don't know that I would see it in a theater but I will definitely give it a rent.

Amen to that, brother. ALIEN is just so great and ALIENS was a blast. I even liked ALIEN3 as it was so....interesting, Ressurection was a dissapointment, however, a real missed opportunity. AVP is complee garbage.

I don't think it's meant to be a Christmas release- it comes out Jan. 18th, I think.

The clip actually wasn't as gory as I feared- it was more "sci-fi" violence and gore; much like that seen on First Contact or Starship Troopers. Not for the faint of heart, but certainly not as bad as slasher flicks like Saw, Hannibal, and Hostel.

Thanks for the link, man; I think I'm gonna have to check this movie out. It actually looks like it might be pretty cool! 8)

Just watch the preview.. looks really good.. I think it's cool that it picks up right after the first movie. Still won't be seeing in around Christmas time.. maybe the new year. The first trailer the released was rated R and had a ton of gore.

:-\ You're right; I just checked IMDB. I didn't realize that the Jan 18th date was for the UK release.

Pretty lame decision on the part of the folks releasing the film; I can't imagine many folks wanting to see this type of film during the holidays.

I still plan to see it at some point. I've enjoyed most of the previous Alien movies, and this looks like it will be better than AVP.
