Got a chance to play around with the new HDTV more this weekend.  It's really amazing and a lot of fun.  College football, sports, movies all look amazing on it.  I even hooked up a PC for a bit and played some World of Warcraft and surfed the net.  Should of got one of these a long time ago!    :metallica:

Say, how about that Rutgers team?!

Grats on the TV. Once you go HD you never go back....
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

I'm so glad I got it before all the new fall shows start up.  I just watched "The Hitcher" in HD-DVD.  Dumb movie, but man did it look amazing!  Lots of nice outdoor scenes in New Mexico, etc.

That is a really cool television.  I like your jabba above it. Is that gentle giant?

The Jabba is Sideshows.  Just Jabba, no throne for it - yet.

What resolution do you run WoW in? 1680 x 1050 or something similar?

It's close to full 1080.  I had to drop it down just a little in order to not have the icons, etc. off screen.  It's something like 1800 x 1024 or so.  The PC I tried allows me to adjust the screen size precisely when running it over a TV monitor (which the video card detected since I had it hooked up via DVI on the PC).  It was fun to play around with but I probably won't be playing a lot of WOW in front of a 60" screen!  Hehe!

Funny how that works. Aside from watching video, party music and skype video calls, I don't really use the computer hooked up to my TV as a computer much. I don't really do much web browsing or gaming on it at all. I guess the couch isn't really ideal for that kind of thing.
