I subscribe to GamesTap, which is a site where you can play a lot of older games, some real old, like c64 etc, and some newer games. I like it a lot. Recently they have added games that are new releases, like the new Tomb Raider game and my latest addiction Overlord.

Has anyone else played this?? I am having a blast. You play an evil overlord, and was somehow defeated, but your minions find you and you start rebuilding your evil tower. I never play Pikman, but from what some say the controlling of your minions is the same. The minions keep cracking me up!!!!  If you have them destroy a pumpkin patch.... they start wearing some of the pumpkins as helmets!!  Give them some ale.. they start staggering a little, then start peeing everywhere!!

Anyway I am having fun playing it, and definitely think it is worthwhile if you looking for a new game.

Ya, I got overlord for the 360. Like you said, its a lot like pikman, but also a lot like Fable. It's like a mix between fable and pikman, too pretty awesome games. That makes Overlord a pretty awesome game too, in my books anyways.

It was lots of fun.  I gave it a rental and played for a while, though I never really got the hang of placement of the minions which I gather has a pretty huge impact on gameplay.  You have four different types of minions with different abilities:  Brawlers, Magic users, Healers, and Stealth.  You can give orders to your healers, for example, to hang back and heal, and you stealth mobs to hide invisible and wait till enemies come by to be ganked.  I couldnt figure out how to do this reliably, though, and had to return the game before I learned completely.  I may give it another try, as I did have a good time with the game while I had it.

Joby, trust me, once you nail the whole gathering point thing and are able to micro-manage your minions consistently well, the game is sweet! btw, the best strategy (for me anyway) is to get a whole bunch of green minions, and a few blue ones, set a green gathering point, and then a blue one directly behind it, then go kite the enemies over with the Overlord, and your green minions OWN the enemies, and your blue minions revive anyone who has fallen in battle.

The main problem I had was I kept trying to control the camera with the right stick, which doesn't work in that game.  The right stick actually sends your minions out to attack or whatever. I guess it is so ingrained in me to control the camera in 3rd person games that it was very difficult not to keep sending my minions out on wild goose chases when I was trying to turn the camera angle.
