A bit more for Mr. O.  I was cleaning up some stuff today and found a few issues of the "Marvels" series.  This set of books kind of retold classic events from the point of view of the average guy.  The artwork was amazing.  Here are a few scans of the Death of Gwen Stacy issue.  One thing I noticed in the text later in the book is that they say the shock of the fall really killed Gwen - and maybe not her neck breaking.

Depends on what you think.  Like I wrote above, in this version they say the shock may have killed her before her neck snapped.  Hard to say.  But Spidey has blamed himself for years for not saving her.
