An all-new, all-different, Next-Gen adventure, featuring Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise D!"

Can't wait for this new comic series. I have loved all the previous version. I hope they do all the series in comic... right now I see TNG and TOS books.

Well I got my TNG comic #1 today, actually there are two covers and the obsessive kind of person that I am I had to get both. I'm going to try and read it later today. I'll let you know what I think.

If anyone would like me to pick up a copy for them just let me know.  They cost is $3.99 plus shipping which shouldn't be that much. Wow 3.99 for a comic.. I remember back in the old days when they cost only $1.99... man I sound like my grand-dad.

moyer777

I got my Comic today in the mail.  Read it cover to cover.  Once everyone has read theirs, let's talk about it.  I have a lot to say, but want to wait till everyone has had a chance to read it.

I read mine.  I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it but I thought it was kind of ordinary.  Neither the art nor the story impressed me much.  The time period they set the story in was kind of a surprise too.  It's set in early TNG TV series time.  This is a six issue series and I'll pick up the rest.  I just hope they get a bit better.  What did you think Rick?

moyer777

Well, I could have sworn I wrote a comment back to you Rico- but then, I couldn't find it.. so...

I thought the comic book was just OK.

Nathan and I both read it and thought that the art work was a little less than expected.  The characters didn't look quite right, as for the story,

I think I had seen this plot in Stargate SG1 and in Outer limits one time.  SO, I wasn't thrilled about that either.  It was nice to see the crew together again, and I kind of liked the idea, but overall I wasn't too impressed with it.  It was kind of a let down, HOWEVER I most likely will buy the rest of them in the series.  I really like TNG, and I guess something is better than nothing.

Don't let this discouarge you from getting it, it isn't that bad... :)

Oh, I really wanted to hear Kenny's take on it?  Kenny???

I do hope it improves some.  I agree, it isn't too bad, but could be better.  I still find the time line they picked to write it in was a bit odd.  I'll be picking up the other issues as they come out.

Well I finally read the first and the second comic from this series. I was thinking it was going to be a six part mini series but they are individuals stories per comic, which I'm not sure is such a great idea. It's tough to tell a cohesive story within a few pages of the comic.

The name "the space between" makes sense now because they are telling stories that happened during the TNG run on TV, filling in gaps.

I agree with Moyer, the artwork isn't that great.. but as long as the story is good I can overlook that.

The first issue was good, I think it would have made a pretty cool episode of TNG. My only complaint is when the Enterprise is push away from the planet they talk about slingshotting back to just before they were hit.. like a time travel thing but then that story is dropped and the enterprise arrives back like normal and the story is wrapped up much to quickly. But it was good to see Yar again.

The second issue was good also but I didn't like the whole Beverly/Deanna/Disco storyline. The Beverly character seemed really out of character.. other then the fact that we know she likes to dance. I liked the Picard story and that seemed to be complete and within character of Picard.

All in all not the best, but not horrible... it's cool to get new stories.. too see what happens in between episodes.

I too enjoyed the second one better than the first.  I liked the storyline much better.  I thought the disco scene was kind of silly, but oh well.  I even thought the art was a little better in this one.  I may just have liked the story more.. I don't know.  I am actually looking forward to the next one now.

The second issue was better, but I still think this comic series could be a lot better - both the art and the stories.  I actually kind of liked "disco Bev."  I'll keep picking it up.

Cpt.Serwin

I agree with you rico but issue three could be a little better I wish they could get long running one for each series and show what happens after they went off the air and off the big screen.
