Yeah, yeah no one seems to like Tom Cruise. But the guy knows how to make an entertaining movie & franchise.

I like Tom Cruise, I don't like Scientology but that doesn't stop me liking him and some of his films. He always seems to be a gent on the red carpet and knows how to play the crowds. I'll give the man the thumbs up for the amount of time he spends having his photo taken for his fans. Good on him.

I've not seen the last mission Impossible film so maybe I should get on the pulse and go rent it.

The MI series are the only films of his I can honestly say I have enjoyed with one other exception... The Last Samurai. Outside of those films I wouldn't watch him without a compelling reason. Even then I don't like the MI series enough to go to a theater to see it. I wait until the Blu-Ray is released.

I love Tom Cruise, and I think he gets a pretty bad rap and has handled it really well for a celebrity of his stature.  Just as an example, three divorces or breakups with high profile celebrity actresses and he comes out not really looking too bad at all.  As for the Mission Impossible series, I think it is unique in that I found the films to have gotten better with each sequel, as opposed to most franchises that tend to diminish in quality.

I like Tom Cruise movies because I always know what I'm going to get.
Tom Cruise, playing Tom Cruise.
Not much of a chameleon, (think Peter Sellers) that's why people like him or don't.
I liked him in Oblivion and for an 'old man', he doesn't look like he's slowing down.

Saw the trailer for this while watching March Madness and looks really good. The MI movies are not my favorite Tom Cruise films but they are a lot of fun to watch. Two of my favorite Cruise films are "Oblivion" and "Jack Reacher" and Reacher is a really good one!

Rico

You guys really need to watch "Edge of Tomorrow" for an awesome movie with Cruise.

Edge of Tomorrow is awesome!  I'm not really a big Tom Cruise fan, but his movies are entertaining.  I'll give him that.  I'll be seeing this movie too. :metallica:

Edge Of Tomorrow: Live Die Repeat... I watched it two or three times in a row! :)

Collateral is a favorite action movie, and who can forget Rain Man?

Jobydrone

Edge of Tomorrow was great fun Rico, saw it twice 😄

And don't forget "Minority Report."  :)

I don't mind him - I remember I first saw him in 'Taps'.  Liked him in 'Eyes Wide Shut' - but am jealous that he was with Nicole Kidman.  :)

minority report, based on a short story by Phillip K Dick, your next author-cast Rico?

That would be a pretty good choice.  Way too many authors to pick from.
