This week our musical podcaster Vartok is back with a megacast covering composer Danny Elfman.  A great way to have something to listen while you pull down all those Christmas lights!  Big thanks to Vartok!

My favorite Vartok episode yet! Awesome

Vartok

Thanks Ruth and others for your kind comments, it's a lot of work putting those together but I enjoy the process and the end results since I get to know the composers better and even remember a few facts about them later.  Welcome to TISF!

A brilliant podcast Vartok.  I always felt like I didn't like Danny Elfman, but the podcast showed me I was mistaken in that opinion.  Your research as always was amazing and enlightening.  Although I did chuckle when you said Alec Guiness instead of Alec Baldwin in Beetlejuice.

I'm not even a huge music fan, but your podcasts are must listens.  Great job!

Jeff, right you are about Alec Baldwin, I can't even picture Alec Guiness in that role.  I left out a word also when I noted "In 2002 Danny also provided two songs for the film musical Chicago, with the jazzy tracks After Midnight and Roxie's Suite.  It was the first film since Oliver in 1969 to win the Academy Award for Best Picture."  I should have since the "first musical film."  I notice later when listening to it in my car.  Arrggghhhh!  Oh well, glad you enjoyed it.
