Much like Carl Sagan, James Burke explored the cause and effects of technology, woven through history and in our lives today.

Been re-watching Connections now and in the last minutes of episode two the meaning of the title 'Death in the Morning' is revealed... mind blown!

I'll have to check them out again with the family.  There was another oldie but a goodie that I used to like that came right on after Connections in my area - it was called 'The Secret Life Of Machines'.
