This week I talk about my fun trip to China and the new geek friend I made over there.  I also talk Trek deleted scenes, geek TV & movies and more.  Just a casual podcast for my first show back after my trip.  Enjoy!

Enjoyed the laid back podcast, and hearing about your trip. Great to hear it was a positive experience and you are adapting back to your timezone.

I enjoyed hearing about your trip and the new friend you made! Glad you had a good trip and you made it back safely. I found the episode very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I also liked all the photos you were posting on Facebook. I agree, some of them look like they came straight out of Bladerunner.

I don't travel very much, but not because I don't want to. We just can't right now. That said, I have been on a plane four times in my whole life and that's counting return flights. :D  Once my senior class flew from San Antonio to Dallas for a class trip. The other time was my honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. I was very terrified when the plane banked hard to the right to land at the airport (I think it was in Cozomel). I was still in college when we got married and my minor was in archaeology. I was excited that one of the stops we were planning to make while there, was to the ancient Mayan city of Coba. I was studying mesoamerican archaeology that semester and was more than willing to be terrified for a few minutes in order to see those ruins! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coba

Our travel plans for the future are to Washington to see Rick and Amy and to England to see Meds and Natalie... who knows when that will happen, but it's on our to-do list. :D

Yup, really enjoyed this one. I love the more casual episodes where you just chat about random things.

It was a fun show to record and I'm glad people seemed to enjoy it.  I have quite a few other stories from this trip and others I'll probably slip in during future casts.  Seeing the world is really a great experience.  I know it's not easy to do, but when you can, just go for it!

P.S.  Jen, during the coming week I will be on four separate planes for two trips I'm taking for work.
