Gates McFadden auctions

I got an email from Mina who works a lot of Trek cons and has sent in audio from various celebs for the podcast.  She is working with Gates McFadden these days and helping her auction off some stuff for charity (signed photos, other signed Trek goodies, etc.).  Anyway, some of you might be interested in trying to snag an auction or two from Gates stash.  Here's what Mina had to say to me in her email and some links for you.

Hi Rico!

I'm writing because I'm working with Gates McFadden, who is selling off her personal collection of Star Trek memorabilia as a fundraiser for the Ensemble Studio Theatre Los Angeles, a non-profit theatre where she is the Artistic Director. We've done "Trunk Sales" at several conventions already, and will be doing them at several other upcoming shows this year, but we are also launching a set of ebay auctions for people who can't make it to the cons, and she's just joined twitter (@gates_mcfadden). As part of the effort to spread the word about both her twitter, and the fundraising auctions, I was wondering if you'd be willing to mention them on your next podcast or podcast(s)- we'd really appreciate it!

I had her record a voice message for the podcast- please find it attached. If there is anything else you need or information you want, please let me know. The first set of ebay auctions will go live on Tuesday, and they can be found at ebay user: GatesMcFaddensTrunkSale. Because people are always skeptical about stuff like this, anything you can do to help us lend some reliable credibility to the whole endeavor would be much appreciated- and giving it a shout-out on the podcast would go a long way to that! Wil Wheaton will also be mentioning something shortly on twitter, so the more exposure we can get, the better!
