Just bought and read the star wars lost tribe book and the latest titan book. Both were good reads.
I saw that today and was really thinking about getting it, just decided not too because I started a mini-series last week called Darth Maul: Death Sentence. It says on the front of it "You can't keep a Bad Sith Down!" It takes place during the 3rd year of the Clone Wars. Written by Tom Taylor and full of Jedi, Wookies, & Sith mayhem!! Worth a look. It's only a 4 parter.
Another one I thought about was Gambit. I believe its only 4 parts as well. I again just decided not to do it.
I also just read the Graphic novel "The World of Flashpoint - featuring Green Lantern. Not too bad. I rate it a 7. Heres a pic of the Darth Maul. Isn't he purdy!
  ;D
If I say I'm posting a pic I should probably do it. lol
I am currently reading the Graphic novel "Batman: The Court of Owls" from the new 52.

I'm currently reading Edgar Rice Burroughs Land That Time Forgot series. Only on the first one and it's really quite good. So far not much like the movie but a fun adventure.

I have been getting the New 52 DC graphic novels from the library here lately. I have read the following so far followed by ones I have here to read.
Catwoman - Vol. 1 The Game - 8. Read this a few weeks back and liked it more than I thought I would.
Batman - Vol. 1 The Court of Owls - 8. Just finished yesterday. One part I really didn't like was when Batman bunched Nightwing in the mouth. I know there was a good reason, but with all of Batman's gadgets there could have been a better way to do what had to be done.
Others I have here to read are:
Batman and Robin - Vol. 1 Born to Kill.
Green Lantern - Vol. 1 Sinestro
I have on my watch list at the library are:
Batgirl, Hawk and Dove, & Superboy. I tried to get Stormwatch but it's not available.

That's my favorite book from last year, it's a really great read. A neat spin on Time Travel.

Started reading Stephen King's time travel tale:  11/22/63.  Really good so far.

I saw this in the bookstore and was wondering if it was good or not. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you're done.

I've just finished vN by Madeline Ashby. I was very impressed. It touches on some disturbing topics at times, but a really interesting take on what a self-replicating robot would be like. If you are a fan of Blade Runner, there are a few in jokes too.

I'm really enjoying the Stephen King book so far.  About 40% into it.  The face on the cover of that "VN" book looks like Buffy.

What do you think of the way the book deals with time travel?

I like it a lot...
If you mean the method itself, through the little weird portal that's fine by me.  King usually doesn't go into the science much of things.  But maybe you mean about the butterfly effect stuff and that the past doesn't like being changed.  I like that too.  Right now I'm just up to the part with Mr. Amberson in the past for the second time working as a teacher in a small town.  Anyway, liking it quite a bit.
Have been reading as much because I can't seem to stop playing the STO game. I did finish the following book.
Superman/Batman - Sorcerer Kings - 4. I don't care for the magical characters very much and the main story of this was based on evil magic just about destroying the Earth. If it hadn't had a couple of stories about something else this probaby would have gotten a 2.
I'm just about finished with Green Arrow Into the woods.

The last hundred pages or so are totally riveting.  This catapulted to the top of my list of favorite SK books, along with classics like The Shining, The Stand, and The Talisman.

I wish i could have gotten hooked like that on STO.  I'll give it another shot, I don't think I've deleted it yet since it was so hard to get working on my Mac.

Yeah, the second part.
Having a "reset" button of sorts is pretty interesting, being that once he goes back in the past again whatever he did the last time is erased. But having to wait years for his target date also puts a ticking clock on the whole thing.
I agree  with Joby, this is definitely up there in King books, along with many of the Dark Tower books and the like.

Finished Green Arrow - Into the Woods - 8. I think I like the old Green Arrow better than the New 52 version.
I also found some cool books. I was checking out the book sale room at the Library and found Watchman and a like new Challengers of the Unknown Showcase Presents from DC. It has over 500 pages of comics in black and white. And they were each only 25 cents!
I also found a book I have been looking for my collection at The Dollar Store. The View From The Bridge by Nicholas Meyer.
I was very happy to find it!
Check out the pics.
