Lost...Flight 815

Hi Guys,
I've not talked about this much, but Joyce and I've started (another) new podcast - this one dedicated to the ABC series Lost. We've got 6 episodes out now, and we're doing it in a slightly different way: we're watching each episode (starting with episode 1, season 1) and commenting on it while we record. So you'll get to hear the episode audio and us, kind of like Mystery Science Theater, only without the sarcasm. Then we cap it off with what we learn from the episode. Our GREAT friend Rick Moyer (moyer777) did the intro and the end bumpers for us. I've actually started listening to this one...even though I've never seen Lost itself. I dare say it'll spoil me on the series completely (not least through listening to all of the episode audio in the background!) but at this point, I'm not sure I'm going to get round to watching it anytime soon.

So far, I'm enjoying it.

I am subscribed to this but I'm currently debating whether I'm going to listen to your cast now, or wait until I decide to do a LOST marathon on Netflix later on.

That's what I'm saying, do I want to do your podcast separate or do a Netflix marathon in tandem with your podcast. That's what I'm deciding right now. :)

Here's a question for you Al. I'm gonna be watching Lost for the first time (I know! minus geek cred). I'm thinking of watching episodes and then re-watching with the podcast. Is this a good plan? Or do you spoil upcoming episodes in the commentary?

We don't spoil anything. We're doing the podcast, and commenting on it like we're watching for the first time, however, there are times when we'll comment on something we didn't catch the first time around, like "Oh, I never noticed that symbol there before". So, either way is actually good. What I myself would do, is watch the episode, then listen to the podcast after. That way it kind of adds a different skew on it, plus, if we mention something you didn't catch, you'll know what the scene looks like since you watched it... :)
