Plot Summary: In the futuristic action thriller "Looper," time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Bruce Willis traveling back in time to alter history? Sounds awesome to me?

Sounds interesting but doesn't it seem like an over complicated way to "take somebody out"? I mean, if they go back in time they just disappear. How would this be any different to just making somebody "disappear" the old fashioned way?

The only advantage I can see is that all trace of the person is gone and there is no proof but I'm sure people like the Mob are pretty good at doing this anyway.

HOWEVER...creates the good old paradox. If he goes back in time to kill his target, his target was never born, removing the need to go back in time to take out his target. So, his target WILL in fact be born because no one went back to kill him. BUT...then someone...well, you get the point. It does look like an interesting flick though.

Yeah there is that. Time travel stories almost always end up with a less tan logical plot. Time Cop was similar in this sense.

It's pretty cool all the stuff Joseph Gordon Levitt did to resemble and act like Bruce Willis. I really want to see this, it's a great concept.

I saw the movie this morning and I LOVED it.  I cannot fault this movie, which contained some fantastic performances, one in particular which was breakthrough and scary!  One for the Blu-ray collection in the future!

See the movie and enjoy!  :)

Going this afternoon!  Looks awesome!

Really cool and interesting movie.  Wasn't exactly what I expected.  A great time travel story.  I'll talk a bit more on the podcast this week about it.  Well worth seeing gang.

I went to see this with Nathan and Andrew.  Wasn't what I expected either.  VERY COOL concept and time travel story, but I had forgotten why some movies are rated R!  LOL!  I know some folks aren't bothered by the f bombs and nudity, but I felt kind of embarrassed. Ended up checking my email during one scene.  hehehe.    Oh well.  Cool idea, and great special effects.
