Yep I've had this on Instacast. I've found the last couple of updates pretty buggy on this app, the skipping, static and also caching problems. I've actually just switched to another podcasting app called Pocket Casts thanks to Mike (Feathers) recommendation. It is a superb app with a great development team and regular updates. They interact with customers on twitter and are cool guys.

What's this? Mentioned in dispatches?

I've had stuttering in Pocket Casts when I've stopped and started it a few too many times in short succession but I think that's more an App problem than anything else (and one that 3.1 appears to have fixed).

One of the new features of iOS 5 I'm enjoying is the ability to add custom shortcuts to the keyboard memory. The default custom one to get everyone started is OMW for on my way.  I've added some of the ones I commonly use like IMO for in my opinion, and BRT for be right there.  Has anyone else played with this?  We should post our custom lists if so.

I have, but only to the point of abbreviating my email address (which is what I always used to use it for when PalmOS did it all those years ago).

The 5.0.1 update is now available.

Just finished updating all our iOS devices over the air. I'm SO glad we finally have this feature, all went one without any hitches. :)

Same here, no troubles at all. 

Looks like a few GPS-bugs have been fixed, but it will be a few days before I'm sure battery issues are fixed.

Never had a major battery issue on my 3GS, yes it did seem to drain a little quicker but the major problems seem to be with the 4's and 4S models due to there faster processors which is ironic.

I've noticed a slightly higher drain.  Most of it seems centered at school where I use my phone the least.  I'm not entirely convinced that is Apple's problem, but more of a problem with the wifi they are using here, because it seems fine when I leave campus.  But I'll watch and see if this fixes my phone.

I've noticed slightly more usage but I know the phone is doing a lot more background location stuff. More battery life is always welcomed!

All i noticed was that my phone seemed slower. Like going on to the text message page it would lag for a while. Hopefully this update will sort that out.

Downloading as I type. I can't say that I've had any issues with iOS 5 but I generaly update anyway.

I've had the slow down issues, a slight decrease in battery life but the biggest problem for me was a slight instability such as apps crashing more often or on occasion freezing up. So far I get the feeling that whatever fixes they've put in may be helping with this.

I have had no troubles at all in fact the battery on my 4s never seems to go below 90% i downloaded the update does this mean i will get even better battery life.... lol
