I've already read all the Wheel of Time books, all except book 14 (which hasn't been released), but my friend has just loaned me two audiobooks: The Gathering Storm (Book  Twelve) and Towers of Midnight (Book 13). I intend to "listen to them" instead of read them a second time. I'm a huge fan of the series and I can't wait to read the final installment. I think Verin Mathwin, a shady Aes Sedi of the "Brown Ajah", is my all-time favorite character in the series. She's a secondary character, but MAN is she cool. :) Yes...yes...I know what happens to her, but I really enjoyed the scenes she appeared in.

the book club at school is reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, kinda a blend of historical fiction and sci fi. not a very common mix but we'll see how it goes.

A colleague has just offered to loan me the entire series of audio books. I'm not sure I have that much time on my hands at the moment, however!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Still reading "Wizard and Glass", book 4 of the Dark Tower, this one is moving VERY slowly compared to the others, not sure if I'll be able to get through it. Is it worthwhile to push on for the rest of the series?

Yeah baby! I pre-ordered Inheritance for my iPad2, and started reading it yesterday (at work, but don't tell anyone!). So far, pretty danged good!!! Rico, I love all the Eragon books as well, started reading them out of boredom - just after book two came out - and immediately got hooked. So, here's the question for you: what did you think of the movie? :)

absolutely worth it, though I remember REALLY enjoying book 4 so you might have a different take than I. It might have been that there was such a long hiatus between book 3 & 4 that I just inhaled it when it finally came out.

I am finishing up American Gods...really really enjoying it, then I'm diving right in to Kings latest, 11/22/63.  With so many shows I've been watching I'm having a hard time finding time to read lately.

I liked the movie more than some people but they just changed too much from the first book.  Wish it had been better so we could have gotten all the books made into films.

I'm finally on the last graphic novel I got from the library. I am finishing Brightest Day - Green Lantern. Before that one I read Brightest Day - Vol. 3. I also read X-Men Curse of the Mutants and that was pretty good.

Finally finished 'Dances With Dragons' by GRRM.  What a great read!  It is going to kill me waiting for the next volume.  I hope it doesn't take too long for GRRM to finish!

See I liked the book, but I found it and the last one got a bit draggy through the middle. Maybe because I've been reading them all in a row I started to get a bit burned out on the universe.

I understand that sentiment!  I feel the same way about the Wheel of Time series.  Getting burned out by it - but enjoying the new author (after RJ's untimely passing).

STAR WARS "Riptide" the follow up to "Crosscurrent". It's terrific!
