Back on topic, it's human nature that we develop a sense of ownership and even entitlement (not suggesting anyone here feels this way, I'm speaking in generalities) of a franchise like SW or HP and take umberage when they feel their fandom and support is being exploited for revenue. But that's the whole point. Content can be given away or paid for at the whim of the creator. It's their party and we all as consumers have the ultimate end game choice. Buy or don't buy.

Very well said Bryan. Very well said.

I'm with you here! I don't fault anyone for trying to make a dime. If I want something, I'll buy it and if not, I won't. Exclusive editions are the variant covers of comic books. Sure, some people are completest, but that's something that they have to work on and people trying to make a living will benefit on until they decide their priorities.

I'm getting this in Blu-ray because I have the others in DVD,HDDVD, and Blu-ray. Since my last few are in Blu-ray, I want a consolidated format, but I'm also not rushing to replace my old HDDVD and DVDs ... too many new games to buy!

See priorities!

Even with SW ... I'm not buying it but I'm not riding people who did. Just wasn't a must buy this time out for me. Doesn't make my love any less.

How is this back on topic Bryan ;) ;)  Just kidding, but to really get this back on topic:

I am preparing a Potter marathon for my daughter in advance of the release of the final movie in the series, which she hasn't seen yet.  She's seven years old now and has seen the first couple of movies but we have never done a movie marathon with this kind of scope before.  She is super excited, we're going to the store for her to pick out her snacks and I really can't wait to spend the day with her.  Just gotta figure out how to get the wife and boys out of the house all day.

I'm a little worried the last few movies might be a little dark, scary, and depressing for my seven year old.  I know it's a pretty individual issue and depends on the kid, but I'm curious what you all think.

I took my 7 year old to see them all. She had no problem with them or bad dreams. She also is far more advanced than most 7 year olds and after her mother allowed her to play The Sims 3, I eagerly avoided telling her where babies come from for a few more days.

The other issue is that my daughter has a 10 year old cousin and when they are visiting their grandparents, he (and thus she) try to sneak and watch True Blood. The few times that I've caught them, she didn't seem too scared or anything because tv isn't real, as she likes to remind me.

So, I'd say build up to it and if they show signs of not being ready for the next one, hold off on it. It can keep a few years and still be good.

That being said, if you are 5 movies in already, finish the series because they do get a decent ended and that's what the journey is all about.
