I've just picked up the first 'Percy Jackson' book from the library. I never saw the film so I'm coming to it pretty fresh.

There are obvious parallels with other books and series but I'm liking it so far. We'll see if I pick up the next one when I'm done.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Read some more graphic novels and only have a few more left till i get back into regular books. Here's the list and what I rated it.
Captain America and Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers - 8. WWII storyline and being the Marvel Knights line a little more blood.
Spiderman: Until the Stars Turn Cold - 10. This was really good with Peter trying to get MJ back with a trip to LA.
The Art of Marvel Vol. 2 - 7. Just showing old covers from their books.
Green Arrow and Black Canary: Big Game - 7.
Green Arrow and Black Canary: Five Stages - 7. I didn't enjoy these as much as some earlier books in this series. And these were the last 2 of that series run.
I'm about finished with Thor: Siege. It's ok.

stonut

just downloaded the original Dracula to my ipad.

Moved on to Prey by Michael Crighton. Seems to be shaping up into a nano-tech based story but I'm not far enough in to be sure yet.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I decided to start reading the Harry Potter books a few months ago and just finished book 5 yesterday.  I never saw any of the movies either.  So I read the book then watch the movie.  The movies feel like Cliff Notes to the books but they are still cool to see on-screen.  Want to finish them all badly so I can read message boards freely with worrying about spoilers.

Read Marvel Illustrated's Treasure Island. It wasn't to bad but I think I want to try and read the actual book.

Bryancd

I am almost finished with the brief but fun "Jedi Path".

Just picked up Game of Thrones yesterday.  I'll finish the Harry Potter series first though.

Just started "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. Heard alot about how great it is but know next to nothing about the story. So far, about 50 pages in I am cautiously optimistic...we'll see.

Read 3 more graphic novels.
Superman - Back in Action - 8. Had 3 old stories included.
Batman - Hush Returns - 9. Another good Hush story. I need to check for more.
Spiderman - The Life & Death of Spiders - 10. Wow, another good Amazing Spiderman story.
Well I'm down to 4 graphic novels from the library. So when those are done I need to get into a Star Trek book. I'm thinking of Downloading one to my ereader. Maybe Captain's Glory by William Shatner.
