Well, they've finally finished it.  A couple of years and I'm sure much work later, you can soon own your very own Studio Scale Enterprise based on the Abrams film version.  Just need to come up with the $4995!  Preorders will be up on October 31st!  She sure is pretty!

Beautiful model, excellent lighting details. Based on the shot of the shuttle bay, looks like they are going with the marge larger then the movie Enterprise scale. I wonder how that will be handled in the upcoming film? It's pretty clear from interviews they realized the Engineering section/brewery was a visual failure and really messed up the ships proportions. It will be interesting to see what kind of set, virtual or practical, they design.

Definitely a beautiful job on this one.  I wonder if Polar or anyone will ever do a large scale kit for it?

The Lighting on the Nacelles looks great, same with the Deflector dish. Now if only the Lottery would come through for me :)

From what I understand Polar canceled the 2009 Enterprise 1:2500 kit. Maybe a kit will come out after the next film.

In a thread back when PL canceled the kit version of the new Enterprise I said that the QMx model would be at least $2500, but $5K...  :blink

I'd be tempted at the $2 - 2.5K price point.  But $5K is really hard to justify - even for me.  And I do a podcast about "Star Trek."  :)

Maybe if you were well paid to do a Star Trek podcast you'd be more willing :)

I guess a 2K Serenity model was a Bargain after all.

I like this model.. but is this QMX Enterpise worth the 5K price tag.
