The question is: who has access to your devices that could possible see something bad?  ;)

Well, my wife, and my children, hypothetically.  But while I dont take alot of pictures and certainly none I would be worried about them seeing, I imagine there's a possibility that there are some folks out there that might not be as pure of heart as myself.  Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johannsen say hello by the way.

Yeah most of my data is apps. I guess if you a lot of apps I would disable the backup of apps as these are easily retrieved from the app store for free.

iCloud backup doesn't backup the apps, that what the App store is for. I guess it stores a list of what you've got installed but the apps themselves don't take up any of the storage space.

I also don't think you can select both destinations for backup. The HMI is pretty clear when you select iCloud backup it will no loger backup to the PC. Since I don't connect to the PC, that's not a big deal for me.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I see. It's all still very new and a lot of people are having issues. My updates went fine but I did my wife's phone last night and everything went well apart from it wiped all her contacts! :(

I was up late trying to fix it as I new she wouldn't be very happy with me lol. Got them back after doing a restore from a previous backup. Eventually!!

It's strange because I read the issue was syncing your contacts to iCloud wipes them as iCloud doesn't have any contacts in it. Crazy. Even crazier I followed the same process with my iPad and iPhone and I didn't have this issue at all.

The sync to iCloud said it would 'Merge' with the current data. I didn't have a problem but then my contacts are Exchange synced to Google so separate from iCloud. Havin said that, I did have one or two on the iPhone list an I do still have them.

The rule with all updates like this, fully backup first!  :)

I did with all devices. I blame my wife's phone. It's always had issues with updates, that's why she hates me doing it! ;)

Just noticed if you have wifi sync setup and your PC is switched on but iTunes is not, when you plug in your device to the mains it fires up iTunes automatically and starts the sync.

Impressive! :)
