This looks really good.  I especially like the voice actors they picked!

MTV has debuted the trailer for Batman: Year One, available on Blu-ray, DVD and OnDemand on October 18. The animated film will have its world premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22 at 8:00pm in Ballroom 20, followed by a panel discussion with the cast and crew.

Based on the Frank Miller classic, the movie features the voices of Benjamin McKenzie as Bruce Wayne, Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Eliza Dushku as Catwoman and Katee Sackhoff as Sarah Essen. The film was directed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu from a script by Tab Murphy.

This is due out next week, Tuesday.  Here's an interview and a pic of two of the voice actors for this project.  One of them I especially like.   :wub

Frank Millers take on Batman in Year One and Dark Knight Returns is my favorite and has influenced the character more than any other writer on the series IMO.  This should be awesome if they do the original story justice.

My friend saw the screener and enjoyed it. He LOVED the catwoman short.

Finally got a chance to watch this tonight - it was awesome!  The voice actors were terrific and I loved seeing this early version of the Batman.  The animation was great and the story was well done.  One of the best animated Batman features I've seen.  Find this and watch it!  :batman

totally agree, best animated Batman ever.  Goes to show how important story and writing is even in animation.  I wonder if they'll tackle Dark Knight Returns ever?  That would be amazing.
