Skype Voicemail

I'm trying to setup some other ways to have folks leave me voice messages for the podcast, etc.  I've setup voicemail in Skype for my account.  Please leave me a comment or two there and let me see how this works out.

Oh, I'm guessing you should be able to do this via Skype app's too, like on the iPhone and iPad.  Let me know if that works as well.

Rick M. - got your voicemail, came out fine.  How did you record that?  Did you log into Skype just on your PC?  Or iPad??  I want to test if portable devices like phones, iPad's can leave a voicemail too via Skype.

Al - your voicemail cut in and out badly.  How did you record yours?

I left you a voicemail on both my iPhone and iPad Rico, it told me that you were "offline with voicemail" according to your status and then, after I tried calling you, it gave me your message of leaving a voicemail and it might show up on the show next week and thus I gave you two messages, only one is for the show :D.

Rico, recorded from my iPhone. I tried to set up VM on my Skype (Mac) and it's WAY difficult. Not as user friendly or easy as PC. Had Joyce call and leave VM, she heard the message ok (sounded tinny though) but when I listened to her message, very bad. Cut in and out, only heard 1 or 2 words. C'mon Skype! Remember there's more than just Windows out there! I'm dumping the VM option. Not good at all for a Mac.

Not sure what the issue was for you.  Tim left a voicemail for me from both his iPad and iPhone and both worked fine.  Were you just using the Skype app on your iPhone?  Your Mac shouldn't have anything to do with this.

Oh, I know, I was just saying that I left you the message from the iPhone Skype app, and that I enabled the Skype voicemail on my Mac and it isn't working correctly.

I used Skype through my recording board with my good microphone.  I'll try it with skype on my ipad next
