Well - looks like a childhood favorite of mine got scrapped. No Lone Ranger movie in the cards...

I thought Johnny was going to play Tonto? I heard they are maybe still going to make this, but at lower costs.

Now that I can buy - JD as Tonto. I loved the cartoon version of the Lone Ranger as a kid - and never missed it after school. :)

I think this could be a good movie if they do it. Don't care if Depp is in it or not. I know they did a comic a few years back. I think Dynamite published it.

Perhaps, if they've dropped the human cast, they'll make Champion The Wonderhorse instead?

New trailer hit today. I really hope this movie does well...I love westerns and while this probably barely qualifies it's the closest we're getting from Hollywood these days.
