A really nice premium format figure is just now up on sale over at Sideshow.  I'm tempted by this quite a bit.  It's done in 1/4 scale and is about 19" high.  You have to be logged into Sideshow I think right now to see it and get your early preorder in.  Again, a very nice piece.

Looks cool.  Any word on articulation yet?

That does look nice, and since it is a premium format, I am sure it will be very nicely detailed. I would say tempting as well, especially with the flexpay. I guess for me, if I got this, I might feel obligated to find a Vader to go with this, or hope they do another Vader, so probably better if I steer clear of it ;)

These premium format pieces are not typically posable - they are not action figures.  Think of them more like statues.  Sometimes you might get a different set of arms or another weapon, but I don't think so in this case.

P.S.  Jeff, I'm with you.  I think this would just make me want a nice Vader to go with it.  Which is most likely coming from Sideshow at some point.  Still, very tempting.

Didn't they do a Vader dualing Obi wan?

From looking on the site, they have done a Vader and a Obi Wan

And a ANH Vader

So I am guessing that it is possible they could do a TESB or ROTJ Vader at some point.

I was at a Collectible store the other day and say the new smaller scale ArtFx Vader, really tempting as well knowing they are coming out with a two pack of Stormtroopers to flank him.

Rico

Yeah that ArtFx Vader is nice, and not nearly the cost of the premium format figures - but of course it's a smaller scale (which can be a good thing depending on space).  I had forgotten about the previous Obi & Vader.  Those came out during the time I wasn't buying many collectibles and avoided even looking too.
