I finished listening to this last night. I really enjoyed it and I too liked it when that guy said "Shut up Woman" funny! I also checked out your Pics Rico. Nice mix of stars and fans.

It was Julian Glover (from Empire and The Last Crusade) that yelled "Shut up Woman" to the lady doing the announcements.  He's a cool guy!

I'm thinking I need to start attending more cons. I feel like I'm missing out on something awesome here.

He really has been in everything too. His IMDB page goes back to 1960 which is a heck of a time to be in one business. I hadn't realised he was in Game of Thrones, the most recent thing I've seen him in is an episode of Blakes 7 (from about 1978).

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

When I was this convention, Carrie did kind look kind of bored with it.  I didn't talk with her, I had seen her at this convention a couple years ago.  She was very nice on that visit.  Anyone see her Sunday?

Hey Rico, I'll put it  on my calendar!

Carrie??  If you mean Carrie Fisher, she wasn't at the con.  What con did you go to??

I'm listening to the podcast as I type this. Cool stuff. Great photos, too. Thanks, Rico. I agree that paying a high fee for an autograph seems a little strange. I guess for those not in high profile stuff, it might make sense. With all the bloggers and podcasters out there, I can perhaps see paying for an interview.

I don't think I have the time or energy to do a whole podcast by myself in June, but would be open to sharing the workload with someone (trying to keep my company's podcast going as it is). Perhaps as part of a Skype conversation or co-hosting something that doesn't require a whole lot of research. I do look forward to doing a full-on guestcast though.

Hey, has anyone seen the kind of sci-fi coming out of Bollywood(?):

Awesome pics! Did Kate get hit by the bus or what?!
I know it was wrong of me, but your comment made me laugh out! :)

Cool Podcast Rico, reminds me how enjoyable Cons are, and making me want to go to the one real soon.

For the Autographs, they do seem to go up and up each year, but I guess it is something else for people to collect now. I think the Actors make a lot of money off of them, and since it is mostly a cash business, I am guessing that they probably only report a certain amount of it. Some friends of mine worked at a Table for Robert Picardo a few years back at a con, they said at the end of the day, he had a serious stack of money, possibly 10000 plus for the days work, far more then he would get paid for an appearance. I suspect some of these folks like Peter Mayhew, that might be the only source of revenue they might have. I would have to think if you are an Actor, you would want to do some genre work at some point, so if the acting career dries up, there is always the convention circuit.

Definitely true Jeff.  Like I said I think on the podcast, I certainly can understand why they do it.  I just kind of miss the days when you could just give what you could or even not at all.  I actually think most people just want a chance to say "hi" to the celebs and maybe shake their hands or get a picture with them.  But it all costs you now it seems.  For me at least, it's kind of put me off walking up and chatting with them like I used to do.

Hey Rico,

I'm still listening to your last podcast and I was thinking when you said that they still haven't come up with a new title for the next Star Trek movie that maybe people should just start coming up with some great titles that haven't yet been used. Maybe you could make it into a contest of some sort.  Just a thought.
