I just finished watching 1-3 again. These are some of my favorite action/adventure movies of the recent decade. Such amazing choreography with the massive pirate battles. They did a great job with these and I can't wait to see what they do with the next one.

I am especially glad they are bringing back Geoffery Rush as Barbosa. He's so good in that role, such a talent. And I have a feeling Ian McShane is going to be amazing as well. He was brilliant in Deadwood and seems perfect to play Blackbeard. I'll be in the theatres for this one.

I am hopefully going to a preview of the movie after work on Thursday...can't wait!!

I saw the movie tonight, and my friends and I agree that it's a lot better than no.3!! A couple of points:-

Stay till after the end credits!
A great cameo early on in the movie
There is something that reminded me of the Guardian of Forever, out of the City at the end of forever!
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a couple of mermaids?

The 3D is good, but I am getting so fed up of 3D movies. I hope this 'fad' doesn't last for too long!

Cool! So lucky you got to see it early! Can't wait, I might try to go during the day and see a double feature of Thor and Pirates!!! Was Blackbeard as awesome a villain as he looks in the previews?

Wife and I have date night tomorrow at the movies, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to see "Bridesmaids." Hopefully I can convince her to see this instead, because there's no chance it's going to be Thor.
