I just watched the 1996 version of The Island of Dr. Moreau and it totally weirded me out. I've been netflixing some Val Kilmer movies lately and that one was very odd. David Thewlis was great. Of course I loved him as Lupin in Harry Potter. The first time I saw Thewlis was in Dragonheart where he plays Inin (sp?) (Pronounced Eye-nin). He's got a great voice! I think it's interesting that he was picked to play Lupin with that weird connection to the movie of Dr. Moreau. He ends up playing a werewolf in Harry Potter and yet he's the only human survivor to leave the island. I'll have to see if the 1970's version is on Netflix. Marlon Brando was definitely out there too.

Anyone else seen it?

I've not seen it, sounds crazy. Thewlis is brilliant, first film I saw him in was A film called Naked, very surreal movie. I have a bit of a issue with Marlon Brando but that's for another thread lol.
