Ok, so we are almost done watching this after watching the first Twilight movie. Jamie and I are watching together, her idea an it's nice. But she ad I really don't like the actress playing Bella. She is terrible. For some reason her only means of emoting is through aggressive exhalation. We are both laughing at the movies silliness, which makes it worth it. :)

Actually, that's pretty much the character from the books. She might breath a little too much life into Bella.

Well ... [spoiler] In the first book when Edward leaves town, there are several chapters after each other with just the name of the month because Bella went catatonic when he left her.[/spoiler]

I've seen all the movies (not read any of the books yet) and have found them ok. One of my issues has always been with the Bella and Edward thing/relationship. It always seems a bit forced to me. Not sure if it's the acting or the script or what. I'm sure the books flesh it out better. I've seen Kristen Stewart act in other things and I think she is spunkier in some of that stuff. She has that thing she does with her eyes and looking away or down all the time that gets kind of old. Anyway, I still enjoy the movies but maybe you need to be a 15 year old girl to really get giddy from them.

They did that in the movie using a spinning camera and the weather changing outside. The best part of the movie was the very end where the last sound is her inhaling in surprise! Jamie and I both LOL!

Yeah, well, I read the first book and must have been a different version, because the Bella from THAT book wasn't anywhere NEAR as annoying as Kristen Stewart. That highly annoying exhaling "acting" style of hers is pretty much HER. EVERYTHING I've ever seen her in she does the same thing. Yes, in the book Bella was the typical love struck drama teen, but Stewart makes me want to hate that character. I couldn't bring myself to watching the 3rd movie because of her. In fact, for giggles, I watched about 10 minutes of Stewarts portrayal of Joan Jett in the movie Runaways. Sucked. She played Joan pretty much the same: angst ridden and huffuing that exhale. Sorry if I offended anyone, but that's my opinion of her.

Try seeing Kristen Stewart in "Adventureland" (good movie) or "In the Land of Women." I think she's pretty good in both of those.

Glad is wasn't just us noticing it, Al! I'm not sure if we are going to carry on with this series, I'm not sure how much more we can take. :smilie_bleh:

Rico, the relationship is better handled in the movie. In the book, the character bella is far more pathetic.

Bella in the book was far more annoying to me. She didn't even feel like a real character. She was more an echo of an idea of a character and her reaction and thought to things were appalling.
