I don't know if this has come up before, but Amazon has reduced the price of their Star Trek Comic Collection DVD to $6.99.  You can't beat that for an instant collection.  The Trek Movie Comic Collection is $2.99.  I'm picking up both.

Has anyone bought this yet? I just wondered what its like to watch comics on the computer. i could deal with one issue but a whole catalogue may be a little bit overwhelming.

Actually, in reading a little more about it, it looks like the movie comics are included in the complete set, so I guess I"m not going to pick that up separately.

Rico

OMG!!!  That's a must buy.

P.S.  Reading comics on the computer isn't too bad.  Not as comfy as sitting on the couch with a paper version, but not bad at that cost.

I think I'm going to get this.  What a great deal.  Lots of reading material for a long time.

Placed my order for it (along with a Blu-Ray copy of "Forbidden Planet" too).  Thanks for the heads up again on this awesome deal!

remember that it won't include wrath of khan. That didn't receive comic treatment until a few years ago.

Wow really?  Why is that?  That seems like a huge delay in lag time.

I bought this when it first was released and at $6.99 it would be a steal. I don't find it that bad to read them on a PC. You can zoom in and out as needed. Since it would be unlikely for me to ever afford to own originals of all these comics this was a good substitute even though I do have a couple complete series in my collection. There are some good stories to be read here.

I mistook the forbidden planet for fantastic planet, that movie scared the crap out of me (well at least the music did) anyone seen it?

Can you tranfer these to an iPad using iTunes?

Rico

Danieru_x - yes I have seen "Fantastic Planet" too.  Weird movie.  Been a long time since I watched it.

Bryan - I have no idea about watching these on an iPad.  If they are in the typical comic book format on the disc it might be possible.

It says they are PDFs, which unless they are strictly locked to the Disc (I bought these btw to see if they would play on my iPhone) you should be able to view them via iBooks are whatever other PDF-reader you have.

I could tell you in 3-5 days, but the sale might be over by then.
