This movie looks intriguing.  Directed by Darren Aronofsky who did "Pi" and "The Fountain."

Thanks for posting the trailer, Rico! This movie looks amazing, but there are parts of this trailer that freak me out... Especially some of the final clips. >.>

Yep - I agree!

The wife and I saw this one last night.  It delivered quite a bang!  Some thoughtful drama, with a moody arty atmosphere.  Our gal Natalie is trying to dance both the White (pure, guileless) & Black (seductress, guileful) Swan roles in the ballet 'Swan Lake'.  She has the White down - the movie has her channeling her Sith-like ballerina side.....   ;)
To me it was predictable, but never-the-less enjoyable.
The value added extra here is that since I went willingly (I like this sort of stuff - being also into moody French cinema - of which this film reminds me) - I can use that as leverage to get the wife into Tron with me.  :)

Some steamy scenes just put the icing on the cake for this one.  ((isn't that terrible of me!?))

Very disturbing flick.  Some images will stay with you for quite some time after watching.  The movie hit home for me because I have known professional dancers intimately in the past and this movie gets it right on many levels.  If anyone has missed any of Darren Aronofsky's films, especially the Wrestler, the Fountain, and Requiem For A Dream, you should make a point to catch up on some of the most thought provoking and intriguing movies of the last decade.  Black Swan is right up there with all of those, and it wouldn't surprise me to see this movie nominated for multiple awards this year, including Natalie Portman for Best Actress and Barbara Hershey for Best Supporting.  This was definitely one of my favorite movies of this year.

Well, saw this movie now too.  Pretty interesting and I guess in a way I could see where the movie was going.  Natalie did an amazing job I thought.  Really believable as the main character and dances very well (at least to my untrained ballet eye).  I have enjoyed the director's others films and now this one too.  However, a slight word of warning, this movie I don't think is for everyone.  There are some pretty strong scenes and definitely deserves the R rating.  Didn't bother me, but I thought I'd warn off maybe some of you.  Anyway, a very interesting film.
