"spoiler tags are the condoms of the Internet".  X...THAT comment I truly LOVE!!:) Great one brother!

Loutzee, oh please...I've NEVER gone after anyone with a pitchfork while riding a high horse. That's just asking for trouble. I mean, have you ever SEEN a horse high? NO WAY you even want to get close to it with a pitchfork dude!

Rico

Again, I don't know what that spoiler box contained (and still don't want to know), but this has been now reported at several sites online:
Star Trek" alum Tom Hardy will reportedly not be playing the villain Hugo Strange in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises"...
Don't be afraid of high horse if your on the moral high ground(if the ground wasn't so steep I would be up there more)

As it now widely reported on many a site it does look to be more untrue and is the result of the new game Batman Arkham City,
who would ever have thought that misinformation would happen on the net(shock!!!).

The game looks very cool

I love comic book movies. I see one problem with this next sequel. There is no way it can live up to Heath Ledger. I think Ledger totally stole the show in the last film and made that movie.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle (AKA Catwoman) in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Christopher Nolan stated, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story."

In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, "I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman's most formidable enemies."

Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.

The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

That's cool news.  I can see Anne as Catwoman/Selina.  Tom Hardy as Bane I'm having more trouble with.  Hardy is not a big guy.  Bane nearly killed Batman in the comics.  You know who would be good as Bane - The Rock.  Oh well, Nolan has done good so far by me so I'll see how this plays out.

Rico, have you seen Tom Hardy in Bronson. Check these trailers out for it and i think your opinion may change a bit. Forget his role in Trek.

Oh, Hardy can act but he's still too small and too short for Bane in my view.  These pics will give you an idea of what I mean.  The action figures are the same scale.

Hmm i see what you mean height wise but i still have confidence in Hardy, lets face it the hobbits are not three foot in real life but that was pulled off in LOTR

in fact i think this could be another case of the opposite actor stealing the show from Bale.

Oh, very true.  They can certainly do a lot these days in terms of effects work.  Heck, if you can make Jeff Bridges look 25 again then anything is possible.  It will be interesting to see what they do with the Bane character.  He isn't nearly as multi-dimensional as the Joker.  Basically he's a big brute.

Meds

Yeah I think they are going to have to flesh him out a bit.

In more ways than one.  ;)

In the comics Bane is a shrimpy sized guy when he's not juiced up on whatever that stuff is pumped through those tubes stuck in his chest.  I imagine they'll be using special effects when he is "hulked out".
