LOL... I enjoyed Transformers 2 and GI Joe.. fun action movies. Never watched Showgirls as it's not my kind of movie. Only genre movie that I can think of at the moment that I actually didn't like very much was Reign of Fire.

Now to get this thread back on track.. are they even playing this movie in 2D.. I've only heard them advertise in 3D and 3D IMAX

Yes, you can see it in at least three possible ways:  Standard, 3-D, or 3-D IMAX.  All depending on the theater, screens available, etc.  The local theater in Rockford has it in standard and 3-D showings.

Yeah, lot's of 2D screening out there. If anything, 3D is more rare.
