The next Batman movie has an official title.  The summer of 2012 is shaping up to be an amazing summer for movies:  next Trek, next Bats, Avengers, etc.

"The Dark Knight Rises" are you sure that not the porn version title!
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, and a lot of bitching."

LOL!  It is kind of an odd title in a way.  But I'm sure the movie is going to be great.

Rico

NOPE - not going to open that up.  Don't want to know anything really at this point.  I am tempted to even delete the info.  Do others want me to leave it up?

Bryancd

I read it, but I don't really care all that much.

And it is in a Spoiler tag, so unless someone suffers from a lack of impulse control...

Dangelus

Oh no!

First we get Wikileaks and now we have.... Battyleaks!!! ;)

Careful your provider doesn't pull the site for hosting this Rico! Lol

Funny thing is I just finally watched Christian Bale in "American Psycho" last night.  I can see some early shades of Bruce Wayne and Batman in that movie from 10 years ago.

That was one screwy movie!

So...my question is: how long did it take before your "buddy" got canned for emailing a protected script? I always thought that stealing scripts that are in production was, well, wrong and dishonest? I think if I was a member of WB and someone stole that script and leaked it...I'd not only be firing someone, but seeking legal action. Just my opinion. I know this is a place for all of us "geeks" to get together and share, but I really don't think sharing a stolen script is right...I side with Rico, I think it should be removed.

Bryancd

Well, let's face it, a lot of pre-release info on any project is effectively "stolen" proprietary information which rockets around the net and a lot of us read and discuss without so much as a by your leave or considering the source and making a judgement call. This instance is just a bit more honest about it.

Most things posted here on the forum we try to keep on the up and up with regards to pre-movie stuff.  When I saw this post (still haven't looked), I tried to think what people might think if someone posted the story or script to the next Trek movie that's still 1.5 years away?  You can be sure I would have taken that down right away.  Trailers, posters and some set pics are one thing.  Anyway, anyone else care to chime in on this?

Since you haven't opened it, it's a brief description of the movie and some of the characters/actors. It's not a copy of the script. It's pretty benign, IMO.

Now, if we want to debate the "rightness" of some stealing intellectual property and posting that on the internet, that's a different kettle of fish. Just out of curiosity, why would it being a Trek film make a difference?
