"The Year That Was,..." - podcast

I'm a bit of a nostalgic kind of guy.  Maybe it comes with getting just slightly older.  I am planning on starting to do occasional TSF podcasts with the subject, "The year that was,..."  The idea is to comment on big things in Sci-Fi & Fantasy entertainment from some past year.  The focus will be on movies & TV, but I might slip in a book or some music too.  Anyway, I really like this idea.  I'll do the first of these in January.  Two years I know I want to cover so far are:  1983 and 1999.  Just thought I'd give you guys a little preview of things to come.  I think this is going to be a lot of fun to slip in every couple of months.  :)

oooh...1983 you've got Jedi in there! Listening to the Film Sack podcast has taught me that 1983 and 84 were huge years for movies.

Now that is a fun idea.

I can't say I'm an expert on any particular year (or even very knowledgable of the sci-fi timeline) but I'd quite like to be able to 'join up' the bits and pieces of sci-fi that I do know into their years like that.
