Alright, I went back 20 pages, and didn't see a general "Lost" thread (only season-specific ones), so I made a new one.  ;)

I'm watching "Lost" for the very first time.  I started around the second week of May, and last night I watched about 4 episodes, stopping after the first episode of season 4.  A couple people at the office are daily asking me where I am and what I think about x, y, or z.  I was warned about the beginning of season 3, but luckily, I watched the first 8 episodes of season 3 on my iPad at jury duty that week.  I'm pretty much doing nothing else with my free time at this point, and I bet I'll be done by the end of the month.  :)

I also never watched LOST as it aired but went back and DVD it a few years ago. I made it through Season 4 and then stopped. It was just too much effort.

"Lost" was a complex show and one I think certainly will be much easier to watch and handle in a compressed viewing.  That said, I still think much of the fun I had during the watching of "Lost" over the years when it was on was the "water cooler" discussions at work and on the forum of what just the heck was going on and what things meant on the show.  I enjoyed all that as much as the show itself.  Felt the same way watching the new Galactica too as it aired.

^^^ That's a very good point. I might have felt more engaged had it been presented to me over the course of multiple season being engaged in discussion about it. Watching it in a vacuum was just kind of boring.

Yeah, I have a handful of people very interesting in my impressions and thoughts and perceptions as I go through the series.  They're all very excited that I'm finally watching.  :)  There's a "Lost" discussion almost every day at work, and it really is a lot of fun.

I started Lost when it was between Season 5 and Season 6.  My wife and I got hooked and watched the whole series through before Season 6 started.  It was great - but it was work for my wife.  :)

Thats a shame, because it really came back at full throttle for Season 5. (You just knew somebody was going to say "it got good just after that" :) )

My wfe loves Lost and watched every episode. And she bought all the seasons the last 2 on blu-ray. I still need to watch the last 2 seasons.

Yes, I saw that.  But I was looking for a thread that wasn't season-specific.  I'm nowhere near season 6 yet. ;)

I had a pretty productive (or unproductive, depending on your POV) weekend, and made it to s5e2!  A friend at work just said s5 is his favorite "because of all the time travel."  I love time travel, so I'm very much looking forward to finishing this season.  Although, tonight is a Syfy night, so it may have to wait another day.

Well, I finished.  On Sunday night.

I feel a little cheated. ...

With the flash-sideways, and everyone remember another life, I kept expecting that the alternate universes would merge somehow and the island would turn out to be some kind of nexus of time, blah blah blah.  Turns out they're just dead.   Hmph.  [/spoler]

Lol we were going to tell you but didn't want to spoil the fun! :)

Lost has got to be one of the best pieces of modern television that has one of the most unsatisfying endings...
