A good article here on the battery stuff and the overloaded Siri servers.

I must say, Siri is VERY cool. I asked her to "open the pod bay doors." and she said,"I'm sorry, Bryan, I can't do that...there, are you happy now?" She's very upity!

But she is great for dictating e-mails or dialing phone calls hands free.

and Beta 2 for iOS 5.0.1 has been released:

QuoteiOS 5.0.1 beta contains improvements and other bug fixes including:
Fixes bugs affecting battery life
Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
Contains security improvements

Dangelus

The iPad 1 gestures will be very welcome.

Siri for iPhone 4 and iPad 2 would be nice too! ;)

iPhone is now 45% of the Enterprise space, making it the dominant handset for business...just like that. :)

Is that a USA only statistic?  Source?  It certainly doesn't follow the general market where Android still has the biggest piece of the pie.  Does anyone here on the forum actually have a work supplied iPhone?

As a global organisation, we don't do 'smartphones' period (as you say in the US). I'm a bit surprised by that statistic.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I'm sorry, I meant global profits not share.

This report seems to claim that AT&T is the fastest for data (vs. Verizon or Sprint).  I would think it's impacted by where you live.  What opinions do people have on this?

I agree Rico ..... def matters where your location is, still the bottom line with AT&T  is  many dropped calls and poor customer service "were not happy until your not happy"

Love it!  If only I could get HAL's voice - I would be more tempted to upgraded to the 4S.  Another cool voice would be the British guy who narrated the old Hitchhikers Guide series.  :)  Or even better - the computer voice from Logan's Run....

Since i upgraded to the new software i can;t download photos from my iPhone to my laptop. Now my laptop does not have iTunes on it and before i would plug it in and it would come up as a storage device and i could open a folder to look at photos and import them to my computer. Now though it says no new photos found when i know for a fact there are about 70 new pics.

Any ideas??

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? I know they came out with an update last week or something. Fixed a syncing issue I was having.

Ah sorted it. I don't have iTunes on my laptop, iTunes is on the big computer upstairs. I found out that if i unlock the phone (slide the bar and put password in) and then plug it in to my laptop i can see the photos and movies. How weird.
