I'm really looking forward to this - for at least a couple of reasons.   :wub

Yeah, how did Colin Farrell get that lucky? I'd be willing for Kate to kick my butt!

Looking foward to seeing this for a couple of reasons. And one of them isn't Colin!

Should be interesting! It was the biggest budget move to ever be filmed here in Toronto.

I saw a commercial for this, and it looks great.  I'll have to re-read the PJD story before seeing this movie.

Saw this today with Mark and enjoyed it quite a bit.  Solid cast, great action and cool effects too.  The scenery had a very Blade Runner look to it all.  Very fun movie I thought with a good story.  Go see it.

(and Colin Farrell is one lucky guy to be in a movie with both of these lovely ladies)  :wub

Quite a bit different than the original so in my view you can't really compare them at all.  I actually was never a huge fan of the first one, I always found it an ok movie but it wasn't a big favorite of mine.

LOVED the original but it had little to do with the actual book, which I hear this is a bot more true to. I'm going to see it at some point.

Just saw this last night on HBO.  I have to say that I didn't particularly care for it.  I loved seeing Kate - but I think I dislike Colin so much I couldn't enjoy the movie - so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I agree, this was just 'eh'. Great effects, but no fun and not much heart to it. I'll just watch the Arnold movie, that's a fun ride.

I liked this one far more than the Arnold one. It was good sci-fi and more true to the source material. I like that in my adaptations.

Yes - that is how I usually feel - I dislike when movies stray too far from the source material.  In this instance though..  ;)  I did like the homages to the earlier film peppered throughout this one.   Visually it was stunning, and the actresses...  still didn't overcome my Farrellloathia
