2045: The Year Man Becomes Immortal
« on: February 28, 2011, 09:41:24 AM »
A really cool article from Time magazine:

At times, it reads like hard-core sci-fi, and brings to mind William Gibson's cyberpunk novels and shows like Ghost In The Shell.  The gist:  With the exponential rate at which technology is evolving, it's inevitable that within a few decades, a critical point will be reached at which humanity as we know it will be re-defined.  A part of me wonders if people 30 years from now will view the story with the same amusement that we now experience looking at Visions Of The Future depicted in shows like The Jetsons.  Another part feels that the theories laid out will likely prove to be spot-on.

What do you guys think?
