That was a great podcast, Rico.  I enjoyed to Rick Moyer's music segment.  That music bought back some good memories.  The thing I like the most was finding out some many people enjoyed Krull as much as I do.

"Krull" is a fun movie.  I hardly know anyone who has actually watched it that doesn't enjoy it.

I'm one of those people. I tried to watch it, but there was just something to weird about it. I just couldn't get into it.

Probably do one in March covering 1999.

That would be awesome, a year I was actually alive in and can remember.

Cool Look back Rico. Was not aware of how many Cool movies came out in 1983. Looking forward to the next one. I have to Admit, I was a bit like Bryan when it came to V, I just could not get into it. I think with Star Wars and Star Trek and even Battlestar Galactica, I was just more into Sci-Fi in Space, with Starships and space battles.

Cool comments as well by all. Ricks Music review was cool, lots of hits from that year, but was wishing he would have touched on some of that 80's Metal ;) . Looking at the List Rico posted, that was a really deep year for music, a lot of classics pretty deep in that list.

Fun!  Remember going to the movie rental store and getting a VHS player and renting some movies?  Krull was my mom's favorite movie at the time.  My friend Richie and I would go to the general store ( hey, what can I say, I grew up on a rural dairy farm in WisCOWsin (my education started in a 2 room country schoolhouse that housed grades K thru 6)) and get tostitos and picante sauce and watch movies all night long.  This was how I watched Star Wars for the first time.  83-84 I was in my last year of high school and had settled on my career path.  A scant few months later I was in the US Army Military Police Corps.  I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

I really enjoyed this podcast! There were lots of cool movies that year and being only 15, my dad or mom would have to take my brothers and I. I don't remember Krull that well but I need to check it out. I wonder if it's in the $5 movie bin at Wal-Mart? My best memory of movies in 83' was Return of the Jedi. I remember we got there close to start time and I sat in the very back row with a bunch of strangers and my middle brother sat towards the middle by himself and my little brother and mom sat closer to the front. Not many seats 5 min. before the movie starts. But I didn't care! Awesome movie! I didn't care where my family was sitting I just wanted to know what happen to Han Solo! My favorite tv memory would be 'V'. I loved that mini-series!! Looking foward to another cast like this one.

I don't remember Krull from that period either, just from TV runs since. We might even have it on VHS but I'm not sure. It's still a good film though.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I listen to this podcast a couple weeks ago.  I really enjoyed listening to it.  It was like a past from the past.  The music selections was spot on, I had some of the songs on my record collections.  The most memorable thing that happened that year for me was watching the original Dr. Who series in Nov of 1983.  the local PBS station showed the episode the 5 doctors.  Then showed the series on a regular basis the following year.
I am going with the best information that I have.
