I enjoyed a lot of Roger Moore's Bond movies. I also liked 'A View to a Kill'. Which is one of the few I need for my collection.
Also with the 50 year celebration going on, Walmart had Bond movies on DVD for $5. And they had Blu-rsy for $9.99. They didn't have every movie though just certain ones. I picked up Moonraker on DVD they didn't have it on Blu-ray.

Roger Moore was my Bond growing up so I'll always have a fondness for those films but I very quickly learned how wonderful Connery is and always will be the iconic Bond, no matter who takes the part in future iterations.

I found apretty good price right now for the 22 film Bluray set, with over 120 hours of special features for just over $150.00 at DVD Empire.  If I had a penny in the bank right now I'd definitely snap this up, I've heard really good things about the Bluray transfers of the older movies.

I got my copy last week when it was released. I've only watched the first three films but I have to say they have never looked better. If you think about the cost per disc is only $6.77 not including the special features disc you cannot go wrong. The Amazon version came with a collectors book about the Bond movie posters but the discs are enough for me.

First Bond film I saw in theaters was The Spy Who Loved Me. Always loved that and Moonraker. I appreciate maybe they haven't aged well in the fans eyes but they are sentimental favorites for me.

I didn't catch this when I bought the "Moonraker" DVD but it does have an audio commentary featuring Sir Roger Moore!
Roger Moore was also the Bond I grew up with. Bronson didn't come around till after I was married!

I was only nine years old in 1965 when my parents took us kids to the drive-in movie theater to see a double feature of Thunderball followed by Goldfinger. I was hooked on Bond ever since.

The Spy who loved me still stands up, Its a great film. Moonraker, well it's far fetched to start off with but its a fun ride. :D

Moonraker is the worst Bond film behind Die Another Day, I think. It really gets away from itself. I did like the James Bond in spacesuit doll figure when I was a kid, though.

Jaws was my favorite Bond villian as a kid, though, so Moonraker will always have a special place in my heart

I think to love Moonraker you need to be a Bond fan, a Moore fan, have been an original Star Wars fan, and a fan of NASA and the shuttle program. I was old enough to have loved Star Wars on release and already had seen The Spy Who Loved Me and was into Bond. So putting Bond in space when I was 11 years old or so was AWESOME. The shuttle effects were really extraordinary when you consider this came out prior to the first shuttle flight in 1981.

Its a fun film, though the opening stunt of the fight in mid air with jaws and Bond is impressive its slightly marred by Jaws flapping his arms and  then plummeting through a circus tent. It actually took 88 sky dives to film that sequence. Derek Meddings's miniature models are excellent and really hold themselves up to any other space set film made around that time.

Saw Skyfall about 6 hours ago and all I can say is bloody brilliant. Great song, slightly slow start but when it call comes together man it's a ride. It's emotional, it's action packed, the new Q works really well, M is fantastic and well Skyfall... You'll see. Great to have the DB5 back.

Nice they mixed it up with a new director, this was Sam Mendes first time directing a Bond film.
He doesn't normally do action films - can't wait to see it.
