Classy guy, and very thoughtful. Made me feel good when I saw this.

My wife told me about Bale doing this and I thought that was very nice for him to do that. I think most if not all actors would do something like this if it happened at one of their movies. Movies are for our enjoyment and to have something like that happen I'm sure many people envolved with the movie felt the same way. Saddened and hurt by something that makes no sense.

Yup, what a great thing to do. He's gone up (even more) in my opinion.

A nice pic of Catwoman and a little feature on her from the upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray coming out on Dec. 4th.

Honest Trailers does it again and Nails TDKR. Very funny, all valid points...still enjoyed the movie. I just don't think about it too much afterward.

I finally watched this movie last night on Blu Ray.
Not what I expected.
Ok, I wasn't so happy with it.  It had all this hype surrounding it and I was hoping for something better.  The soundtrack was good, I liked the gadgets, but first off, it was WAY too long.  I found myself wishing it was over.  I liked Anne Hathaway, thought she rocked Catwoman.  Christian Bale was ok, but honestly, why in the world do they have to make him look so stupid and sound just as awful when he talks in his Batman voice. . his lips stretch out and I expect drool to come out..  ewwww.   I felt like he was going to cough up a loogie each time he spoke.  Bane... ok... is it my imagination or was that the worst voice EVER in the history of super heroes and villans besides the Toy Man in Superfriends?  Geez.  Half that time I couldn't even figure out what he was saying.  But my surround sound got a good work out.  Then last but not least the editing was choppy.  Like they would have something in their hand, and then it would cut to the next shot and the thing would be five feet away, or you would try and figure out what just happened because they jumped in the story line.  I had a hard time following it.  In the end it was hard for me to believe that the girl was the bad guy...  LOVED the whole set up for Robin though.  That was way cool.
I agree with all but Banes voice, I could understand everything but I guess if you are not used to a accent it would be hard to get. Batmans voice has always annoyed me.

Bryancd

I can suss out all of your crazy UK accents but still couldn't understand him, It was more the audio distortion then anything else, really. I mentioned before I think it varied theater to theater and I have it on Blu-ray from my brother for Christmas and haven't watched it yet. Be curious to hear how it sounds at home.

Meds

Yeah Bry let us know if it makes a difference on home cinema. I haven't bought it yet as having a massive knuckle down on buying stuff as travelling back to Australia next year.

WillEagle

Rick, alot of what you said is spot on. I don't have the blu-ray yet but I want to see if it sounds any better at home but from what you said it probably won't be.

at least I wasn't imagining it all.  :)

My biggest problem with the movie is that Batman quits being Batman for EIGHT years. Losing someone would strengthen his passion to make criminals pay not make him quit.

The voice is the voice, but the worst bit was when Catwoman disappears and Batman turns around and in the Bat-voice he says "So that's what that feels like." Who was he putting the fake voice on for??? No one else was there!

I've never liked Bale's voice for Batman either. I also had a hard time understanding Bane in some spots of the film. Overall the film just didn't work for me. I think it was the weakest of the Bale films and if I wasn't such a completest I would sell it off. And as I said in an earlier post the reveal at the end of the "why" Bane was doing what he was doing was just lame and dissatisfying. It ultimately made Bane a pawn and I expected something more. I'm glad there won't be anymore Bale films. It's time to rethink Batman with some new creative blood.

I wonder if there is meant to be something in the neck of the Batsuit that changes Bruce Waynes voice hence why he talks like that when no one is around?
