Watched these last night. Still enjoying it but continue to be disappointed by the writting. Some of the characters are really sad stereotypes and some of the dialogue is awful.

Seriously, they sound like rejects from a lame action flick and not like characters from the BSG universe, IMO.

I'm starting to root for 'Coker', hope he gets through all this.

I finally got around to watching this last night.

It really felt 'Galactica' rather than 'Caprica' which is a good thing in my book but I think some of the budget reduction does show.

Having said that, graphically it was all I could have wished for. Loved seeing Vipers and Raptors on TV again (although Raptors have no jump capability in this time?). Some of the throwbacks to Caprica were noticeable too - if nothing else, this really served to tie the two series together.

It was nice to see a veritable who's-who of the Canadian acting scene too. So many recognisable faces.

Come on SciFi (SyFy) make it into a series...please.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Great ending, sure would love to see this continue.

Yep, liked the final 4 episodes MUCH more. I stand corrected, I really enjoyed this at the end of the day. :)

The movie version of this is set to air on the SyFy channel on Feb. 10th - with additional scenes and footage too!  Frak yeah!!   :cylon

Though most Battlestar Galactica fans probably already checked out the prequel series Blood and Chrome when it debuted online last year, we've been waiting to hear exactly when the web series would formally debut on TV. Now we know.

The two-hour movie version of the series will debut at 9 p.m. on Feb. 10 on Syfy, featuring additional footage and scenes that were not included in the web episodes. Shortly after the TV premiere, the film cut will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and video-on-demand services on Feb. 19.

Set during the first Cylon War, Blood and Chrome followed a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino) and a small team sent on a dangerous secret mission deep into Cylon-occupied space. The series was largely shot with green screen and relied heavily on effects work, which gave it a pretty unique look. It'll be interesting to see how that translates from a computer monitor to a TV screen.

The series had been in development for a while, and Syfy teamed up with YouTube channel Machinima Prime to premiere weekly installments last year, which racked up more than 8 million views.

It had a very different vibe from Ronald D. Moore's Battlestar series, and focused more on patriotism and action, as opposed to the slow boil of paranoia and political intrigue. It was a fun ride, and it'll be great to finally see in on a big(ger) screen.
