Hej there all trek-crazy people!

I've been listening to Treks in Sci-Fi almost since the beginning (started at episode-less-than-20), and I thought that maybe it's time to give the Forums a chance :)

I'm from Sweden (live just outside Stockholm) and have been watching Star Trek since the late 70s (when TOS was shown on TV here). I was an exchange student in the US in 87-88, so I watched Encounter at Farpoint and all of season one there. Took quite a long time till the seriuess came to Sweden though. Also when I lived in New Jersey, me and my friends learned to quote The Wrath of Kahn inside and out :)

I've never watched DS9 though. After 5-10 episodes me and my friends called it Deep Sleep 9, and never continued. Now I have had an ambition to get through it, but now that I have two small kids, I doubt it will be soon...

Hope I get to interact more with you people :)

Hi and welcome,

personally I think the season one of DS9 was one of the strongest first season of any star trek show so do pick it up and give it another go and it just keep get better.

...I've never watched DS9 though.

For SHAME! ;)

You need to get on that right away, my friend.  I know the show starts off kind of slow, but give it time.   It will pay off in a BIG WAY. :)
